(Sweet Bush Tomato) This warla (lake) country. My Grandmother's and her people's country. Most of the women and kids will walk over the sandhills together to gather up this bush food after the cold weather. They carry them back to where they live. Polder women will carry them in coolamon on their heads. This bush tomato is very sweet, you can eat it cooked or sometimes dry. |
